| Middel Georgia Guitar is proud to present the | |||||||||
| Buzz Feiten Tuning System | |||||||||
| This system is endorsed by many top players in the world because of the incredible difference it makes in staying in tune. It corrects subtle intonation problems that exist in all fretted instruments. The result is a guitar that easier to tune, and one that will play in tune all over the fretboard. | |||||||||
| We have all experienced the need to offset our tuning so our guitar will play in tune in both high and low registers. It becomes a compromise, and sometimes no matter what we do, some notes just won't sound right! | |||||||||
| The problem all guitars have is the layout of the frets. The formula for fret layout is accurate to a degree, but neglected to take into account one very important fact. It assumes the force needed to fret a note is consistent at every point on the fretboard. But, in actuality, the force required at the first fret is much greater than that at the 12th fret. This force means that the string must be stretched more to make the first fret, resulting in a slightly sharp note. The same chord, played in different positions on the neck will be out of tune with each other because of the differing string tensions at these locations. | |||||||||
|
Until now, it has been a problem we have all learned to live with. |
|||||||||
|
The Buzz Feiten System corrects these inaccuracies by slightly relocating the nut closer to the bridge. The bridge is also adjusted to produce a more pleasing, or "tempered" intonation. The result is a guitar that plays in tune in every position, and is more enjoyable to listen to. |

|
The tuning points were developed over a period of 6 years, and the whole process is covered by several patents. The end result is unmistakable. Chords bloom sweeter, without "beating", and more time can be spent playing, instead of finding an acceptable compromise in tuning. |
|||||||||
| Major manufacturers, such as Anderson, Suhr, and Washburn among others, are incorporating the Buzz Feiten System on all their American made guitars. | |||||||||
| Does this mean you need to buy another guitar to get the benefits of tempered tuning? | |||||||||
| Absolutely not! ANY guitar can be retrofitted with the Buzz Feiten Tuning System. | |||||||||
| And, Middle GEORGIA Guitar is the ONLY Level2 retrofitter in the state. This means we are qualified to do both electric AND acoustic guitars, classic guitars and basses. | |||||||||
| The process takes about a week, and is virtually invisible when complete. But your EARS will know! Prices are $135 for electrics, and $375 for acoustics. For more information, go to www.buzzfeiten.com. | |||||||||
